Rewild: Anti-Recon Africa

This social-impact video was created to urgently raise awareness about oil and gas exploration threatening the Okavango River Basin—one of the most biodiverse and ecologically sensitive regions on Earth—at a critical moment ahead of Namibia’s national election. Produced in collaboration with Re:wild, the film centers the voices of local Kavango communities facing legal and environmental pressure for opposing drilling by ReconAfrica. Through clear, urgent motion graphics and visual storytelling, the video translates complex legal, environmental, and human-rights issues into an accessible call for global solidarity, encouraging viewers to stand with Indigenous and local communities working to protect their land, water, and livelihoods.

Drawing on editorial design, the motion graphics frame the narrative as evidence, not opinion—grounding the message in documented reality. The result is a visual tone that feels immediate, serious, and impossible to ignore.
IMPACT
Our motion graphics and design transformed a dense legal and environmental crisis into a clear, emotionally resonant message that helped mobilize international attention at a pivotal political moment. By visualizing risk, scale, and consequence, the film amplified frontline voices, supported the #StandWithKavango campaign, and helped drive global awareness of the irreversible threats oil exploration poses to the Okavango’s people, wildlife, and water systems—reinforcing the urgency of protecting before lasting damage occurs.
